Unpopular opinion: Pittsburgh is an amazing place to visit.

The only picture I love from my Pitt trip
Since my trip to Califronia was an awe-mazing experience. I decided to go some place close. Pittsburgh was never a place I imagine I would visit. Besides who cares? I just wanted to get out of my pajamas for New Year's.
Pittsburgh is about 3 hours from State College, which doesn't sound a lot, except when you are awake from the last 24 straight hours. Why? Because of all the excitement of visiting Pittsburgh on New-Years eve.
A week before my trip to Pittsburgh, I planned the entire day from tasting awesome food at famous food trucks to attending the New-Year's parade. Everything was settled in my mind until I reached Pittsburgh only to see all the food trucks have been shut down because of the snow.
NOTE: Before planning your entire day in Pittsburgh, try to approach some local friends. So that you don't end up planning the day that can never exist.
That's exactly what happened to me. Me and my friend planned the entire day at Pittsburgh like I would in my dreams but nothing that I imagined happened.
So we decided to collect all the complaining and throw it into the sea of disappointments. We took a different approach and rather than following a set of steps, we went blindfolded. Tried to relish every second of it.
First we went to an appetizing diner, Pamela's Diner, where we had the famous breakfast of the day. That breakfast made our day and trust me when I recommend a place. NO ONE IS A BIGGER FOODIE THAN ME!

Tips for Pamela's Diner:
No credit/Debit/Master or Visa card. When you enter the diner make sure you have your wallet full of cash.
The walls are super aesthetic. Hence, a good location for aesthetics photography. ;)
Not much of a sweet-tooth, but I practically stole my friend's pancake.
It's a bit crowded but the food is worth it.

After having a luxurious breakfast, we decided to head to the most famous Lumaze, a place to get lost in Light. The place is a must to visit if you are in Pittsburgh. Lumaze has transformed a warehouse in the Strip District into an indoor Christmas light display. In addition to the holiday light display, Lumaze has a holiday market and a food court area featuring local vendors.

When you enter into the maze you will see this amazing chirstmas tree <3
Tips for Lumaze:
The ticket is not that costly and it's worth the price.
The lights are incredibly fascinating.
It's indoor so don't worry about the cold breeze.
It's perfect for children. Therefore, get out of your cozy blanket and take your family for an amazing light trip.
The entire visit was full of surprises and extraordinary views, even though I couldn't enjoy the entire journey as I planned and had some disappointments. But from what I have learned, a journey is brimmed with ups and downs. It's a package deal.
So you don't get all sad and worried, instead you face reality and enjoy whatever you have.
For the record, you are here on a journey to relish every second of it. <3
